    A sweet grandmother telephoned Mount Sinai Hospital. She timidly asked, "Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?"

    The operator said "I'll be glad to help, Dear. What's the name and room number?"

    The grandmother in her weak tremulous voice said, "Holly Finkel in room 302."

    The Operator replied, "Let me check. Oh, good news. Her records say that Holly is doing very well. Her blood pressure is fine; her blood work just came back as normal and her physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged on Tuesday."

    The Grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful! I was so worried! God bless you for the good news."

    The operator replied, "You're more than welcome. Is Holly your daughter?"

    The Grandmother said, "No, I'm Holly Finkel in 302. Dr. Cohen doesn't tell me anything!"

    The operator replied, "Let me place you on hold while I check with her nurse."
    After a few minutes the operator returned to the Phone.
    "Oh, good news. Her nurse has told me that Norma is doing very well. Her blood pressure is fine; Her blood work just came back as normal. And her physician, Dr. Cohen has scheduled her to be discharged Tuesday."
    The grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful. I was so worried! God bless you for the good news."

    A woman, calling Mount Sinai Hospital, said, "Hello, I want to know if a patient is getting better."

    The voice on the other end of the line said, "What is the patient's name and room number?"

    She said, "Yes, darling! She's Sarah Finkel, in Room 302."

    He said, "Oh, yes. Mrs. Finkel is doing very well. In fact, she's had two full meals, her blood pressure is fine, she's going to be taken off the heart monitor in a couple of hours and if she continues this improvement, Dr. Cohen is going to send her home Tuesday."

    The woman said, "Thank God! That's wonderful! Oh! That's fantastic! That's wonderful news!"

    The man on the phone said, "From your enthusiasm, I take it you must be a close family member or a very close friend!"

    She said, "I'm Sarah Finkel in 302! Cohen, my doctor, doesn't tell me a word!"
