"So many Shahs" joke

IN Bombay and Ahmedabad, one comes across many Shahs. Bombay Telephone Directory has longest list under the heading Shah. A full 32-page.
I was wondering afterall from where so many Shahs come till my doubt was cleared on seeing one big signboard in Prabhadevi area mentioning' Shah Manufacturing Company.'
