Santa Singh was travelling in a crowded bus. He was carrying the
passport size photograph of his son (for college admission).
Accidently, the photograph fell down from his pocket.He started
searching for it frantically & found it on the floor, below the ends of a
woman's saree. He asked her "Can you lift that saree? I wanna take a
photograph"
The rest is history.
He was beaten so badly that he had to be admitted to hospital.
He was surprised to see Banta Singh on the bed next to him, in a worse
condition. Banta explained what happened to him He had gone to a
remote village to work. He finished late and missed the last bus. He
couldn't find any hotel. So he approached a nearby house and asked the
Owner whether he can stay there for the night.The Owner replied"I
have 2 grown up daughters. Sorry, I can't allow you to stay".

NEWS BULLETIN: Saying it will improve the education of children who have grown up immersed in computer lingo, the school board in San Jose, Calif., has officially designated computer English, or "Geekonics", as a second language.
The historic vote on Geekonics - a combination of the word "geek" and the word "phonics" - came just weeks after the Oakland school board recognized black English, or Ebonics, as a distinct language.
"This entirely reconfigures our parameters," Milton "Floppy" Macintosh, chairman of Geekonics Unlimited, said after the school board became the first in the nation to recognize Geekonics.
"No longer are we preformatted for failure," Macintosh said during a celebration that saw many Geekonics backers come dangerously close to smiling. "Today, we are rebooting, implementing a program to process the data we need more...

Why we have AQIS Australian Quarantine Inspection Service - creepy. Apparently its completely true.
This bloke and his family were on holiday in the States and went to Mexico for a week. As he is an avid cactus fan he bought a rare and expensive cactus there, it was about a metre high and cost about $500 Aus. He got it home and the customs people were none too impressed so they said it must stay in quarantine for 3 months, cost $800 or so.
He finally got his cactus home and planted it in his backyard where over time it grew to about 2 metres or so in height.
One evening after a beautiful warm spring day he was out watering his garden and thought he might give the cactus a light spray. This he did and was amazed to see the plant shiver all over, he gave it another light spray and it shivered and shook again. All its arms moved. He was puzzled so he rang the council who put him on to the state gardens.
