Gaza Jokes

Two Arabs are sitting in a Gaza Strip bar chatting over a pint of fermented goat’s milk. One pulls his wallet out and starts flipping through pictures and they start reminiscing. "This is my oldest son, he’s a martyr." "This is my second son. He is a martyr also." After a pause and a deep sigh, the second Arab says wistfully,
"They blow up so fast, don’t they?"

A report earlier this year cited 45 internet café bombings in Gaza since December 1, 2006:

About 45 Internet outlets have been bombed since Dec. 1, according to figures from Gaza’s Central Police Office...“This just shows how confused these fanatics are,” said [bombed Internet Cafe owner Alaa] Al-Shawa, 27. “Even they use the Internet to circulate their statements, but they think everyone else uses it for porno.”

Imagine: There you are, just minding your own business downloading bomb recipes and beheading videos--and boom! How is a person supposed to concentrate on becoming a jihadist with these constant disruptions?

And here was a Thursday news item from Gaza:

An explosion ripped through a car east of Gaza City late Thursday, witnesses said, and hospital officials said one person was killed and another was seriously wounded...Some blasts that do not involve the military are caused by explosive devices intended for use against Israel that more...

The BBC Gaza correspondent is sitting in her air conditioned hotel in the Gaza strip, sipping iced tea when her mobile phone begins to ring. She picks up the phone and hears a mysterious voice say, " comrade this is the ruling council of the military wing of Hamas and I would like to inform you that those Israeli pigs have just massacred hundreds of Palastinian women and children. "
The BBC correspondent then asks the mysterious stranger on the phone where and when this had happened but was just given the address of the small provincial hospital just inside the Israeli border where he claimed hundreds of surviving casualties had been taken earlier and informed her that all her expenses would be covered as usual.
Armed with this information she realises that she can finally prove to the world just how evil these Israeli, American Jewish lobby supported pigs really are. So she makes her way as quickly as possible across the border into Israel and to the more...

Warm and Fuzzy, Palestinian Style

In a rare mainstream media report on the trend of loveable children's TV characters in Gaza and the West Bank exhorting children to kill and maim Jews, it seems the elusive, legendary, bloodsucking creature of Latino lore, "El Chupacabra", has been sighted, and confirmed:

A man-sized talking rabbit appeared on television in Gaza [recently] to denounce Danish newspapers over cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad that offended Muslims.

The latest in a line of cartoon-inspired characters that take the message of the Hamas Islamist movement to Palestinian children, the actor in the Bugs Bunny-style outfit also railed against "Zionist filth" and Israel's control of Jerusalem.

Aha! So the Chupacabra is an Arabic rabbit, or an Arabbit.
