Plumber Jokes

On coming home from a late night at the office, the partner at a presigious law firm discovered that his basement was flooded. He summoned a plumber. The plumber arrived soon afterward, with a spare set of overalls and a cap that said "Blue Collar Guy".
The lawyer, still dressed in his an expensive suit, silk tie, and gleaming wingtips, chuckled. "I like your hat," he said. "But you're the first plumber I've met who brought a change of clothes to a job." The plumber smiled.
The plumber went down into the basement, and the lawyer heard him working downstairs. Before too long, the plumber came back upstairs. "I'm almost done down there. I'm going to write up your bill, then I'm going to go out to my truck for a tool I need to finish up."
The plumber added, "The overalls and hat you asked me about, they're not for me. I'm looking for a new assistant, and I was hoping you might know somebody who wanted the job." The lawyer more...

This is the story of the night my ten-year-old cat, Rudy, got his head stuck in the garbage disposal. I knew at the time that the experience would be funny if the cat survived, so let me tell you right up front that he's fine. Getting him out wasn't easy, though, and the process included numerous home remedies, a plumber, two cops, an emergency overnight veterinary clinic, a case of mistaken identity, five hours of panic, and fifteen minutes of fame.

My husband, Rich, and I had just returned from a vacation in the Cayman Islands, where I had been sick as a dog the whole time, trying to convince myself that if I had to feel lousy, it was better to do it in paradise. We had arrived home at 9 p.m., a day and a half later than we had planned because of airline problems. I still had illness-related vertigo, and because of the flight delays, had not been able to prepare the class I was supposed to teach at 8:40 the next morning. I sat down at my desk to think and around ten more...

    Twas the week before Christmas,
    I was feeding a mouse,
    fattening it up,
for our cats in the house.
    The wife's stockings hung
    on the shower with care,
    The drain is clogged.
    Probably big globs of hair.
    The children were playing,
    jumping on beds.
    Bits of chewing gum
    stuck on their heads.
    Wife sneez'n in a kerchief;
me, I'm ready for a nap,
    Her nerves quite unsettled,
    we need a nightcap!
    When out of the bathroom
    there arose such a clatter!
    The toilet a shaking!
    Don't know what's the matter!
    Away to the bathroom
    I flew like a flash,
    Tore open the closet,
    then fell with a CRASH!
    I'd slipped on a toy...
    I do think... I don't know.
    They were scattered about,
    above and below.
    Then the wife yelled,
    "Are you Okay? Oooh, Dear?!
"I was going to tell you,
    your tools disappeared.
"The kids, well, they flushed them,
    tools, more...

Patient: My hair keeps falling out. What can you give me to keep it in?
    Doctor: A shoebox.

Doctor: Did you know that there are more than 1, 000 bones in the human body?
Patient: Shhh, doctor! My dog's outside in the waiting room!

As the doctor completed an examination of the patient, he said, "I can't
find a cause for your complaint. Frankly, I think it's due to drinking."
"In that case," said the patient, "I'll come back when you're sober".

Nurse: "Doctor, don't cut so deep.
That's the third operating table you've ruined this month!"

A man speaks frantically into the phone, "My wife is pregnant,
and her contractions are only two minutes apart!"
"Is this her first child?" the doctor queries.
"No, you *idiot*!" the man shouts. "This is her *husband*!"

Patient: Doctor, I have a split personality.
    Psychiatrist: more...

A plumber, an electrician, a dentist and a programmer are fast friends:
buddies for life, eternal bachelors..until the programmer announces he is
getting married. Never ones to pass up a golden opportunity, the three
compadres find out the name and location of the hotel where the programmer will
be honeymooning, and bribe the desk clerk to let them in to rig a few
    'welcome' surprises.
A week after returning from the honeymoon, the programmer meets his buddies
in a bar for drinks, and half-heartedly chuckles with them over the gags.
Pointing to the plumber, he comments "Yeah, the drippy faucet you couldn't
turn off was a neat trick." And to the electrician: "And a flickering
table lamp with no off switch was cute, too." Then, shaking a fist at the
dentist "But, you! YOU! Novacaine in the Vaseline was one cheap shot!"
